Set up your camera

Phone at hip height, about 3 metres away, filming you from the side.

Your whole body, head to feet, needs to be in the picture. The coach will remind you if it can't see you.

How to do it

  1. 1Start with a light weight in your hands.
  2. 2Bend your knees a little and lean forward from your hips, back flat.
  3. 3Let the weight hang below your shoulders.
  4. 4Pull it up to your lower ribs, elbows close to your body.
  5. 5Lower slowly and stay bent over the whole time.

What the coach watches for

  • Pull to your ribs

The row was short. Pull the weight all the way to your lower ribs.

  • Stay bent over

You stood up during the row. Stay hinged forward with a flat back.
