Set up your camera

Phone at hip height, about 3 metres away, facing you.

Your whole body, head to feet, needs to be in the picture. The coach will remind you if it can't see you.

How to do it

  1. 1Get into triple-threat: knees bent, ball at your hip.
  2. 2Keep one foot planted on the floor; this is your pivot foot.
  3. 3Take a short, sharp step forward with your other foot.
  4. 4Pull that foot back fast.
  5. 5Stay low so you can shoot or drive next.

What the coach watches for

  • Stay low

You stood up tall. Bend your knees and stay low so you can change direction fast.

  • Short, sharp jab

Your jab was too long and slow to recover. Make it a short, hard step.
